New Malware able to bypass Microsoft Security!

New Malware able to bypass Microsoft Security!

A new malware was recently discovered that can bypass Microsoft’s endpoints protection without triggering any kinds of alarms. As of this time the vulnerability has yet to be patched and has been in existence since October 2022. The name of the malware is Qbot which was previously known as Quakbot which was a banking trojan.

The vulnerability can be run off .ISO , .IMG , & .DLL files. Microsoft Windows does not detect the “malformed signatures” and allows launching which can compromise the system. Often the distribution of the malware comes through a phishing email which contains a link to a password-protected ZIP archive.

In order to protect yourself it is essential to run a quality Anti-virus & Anti-malware solution in order to not rely on Microsoft Windows alone to protect the end user.
